Khaled El Sawy
Khaled El Sawy is a prominent Egyptian actor, born in Alexandria in 1963. He pursued his education in law at Cairo University, where he began his acting journey through the university's theater. After earning his degree in 1985, El Sawy further honed his craft by studying directing at the Academy of Arts, completing his training in 1993. He initially worked as an assistant director on the film “Samaka we Arbaa' Oroush” (A Fish and Four Sharks) before taking on directing roles for various channels within the Nile International network.
In addition to his work in film and television, El Sawy is a co-founder of the Egyptian Foundation for Theater Enthusiasts. He has made significant contributions to theater, having written the plays “Haflet Maganin” (Crazy Party) and “Operette El Darfil” (The Dolphin Operette), earning the Taymour Award for Theatrical Ingenuity in 1991 and 1992 for these works, respectively.
Throughout his career, he has portrayed a diverse array of characters in films such as “Emaret Yacoubian” (Yacoubian Building), “Keda Reda,” “Cabaret,” “El Farah” (The Wedding), and “El Feel El Azraq” (The Blue Elephant). El Sawy has also taken on leading roles in popular television series, including “Tofahet Adam” (Adam's Apple) and “Khatem Suleiman” (Suleiman's Ring), showcasing his versatile talent in the entertainment industry.
