Joshua Homme

Joshua Michael Homme, born on May 17, 1973, is a multifaceted American artist renowned for his contributions as a singer, songwriter, musician, record producer, and actor. He is best known as the founder and primary creative force behind the rock band Queens of the Stone Age, which he established in 1996. In this influential band, Homme serves as the lead vocalist and guitarist, showcasing his versatility by also playing bass, piano, and drums when needed.

Before his success with Queens of the Stone Age, Homme was a key figure in the band Kyuss, where he played guitar from 1987 until their breakup in 1995, helping to shape the stoner rock genre. In 1998, he co-founded Eagles of Death Metal, contributing his drumming skills to their studio albums and live performances.

Homme has been instrumental in various collaborative projects, notably The Desert Sessions, a musical improv series he initiated in 1997 with fellow musicians from the Palm Desert Scene. In 2009, he formed Them Crooked Vultures alongside rock legends Dave Grohl and John Paul Jones, releasing their self-titled debut album that same year. Furthermore, Homme produced and co-wrote Iggy Pop's critically acclaimed 2016 album, *Post Pop Depression*, and has collaborated with prominent bands such as Foo Fighters and Arctic Monkeys, solidifying his legacy in the rock music landscape.
