Oswaldo Salas
Oswaldo Salas is a prominent Peruvian actor known for his work across film, television, and theater. He first gained significant recognition in the film industry with his lead role as Detective Waldo in "Extirpador de Idolatrías," a project directed by Manuel Siles. This performance earned him critical acclaim, including the Best Actor Award at the Encuentro Mundial de Cine in Denver in 2014, as well as the Best Male Performance Award at the CinemAvvenire Film Festival in Rome the same year. Additionally, he received a nomination for Best Actor at the Premios Luces in 2016.
In the realm of animation, Salas showcased his versatile voice talent by voicing three characters – magician Blue, General Rat, and an elderly Edam – in the 3D animated feature "Rodencia y el Diente De la Princesa," released in October 2012. His film credits also include roles in "La Casa Rosada," directed by Palito Ortega Matute, and "Vidas Paralelas" (2008), directed by Rocío Lladó.
