Ecem Erkek
Ecem Erkek, born on June 24, 1989, is a prominent Turkish actress hailing from Sivas. After completing her education at Ankara Ömer Seyfettin High School in 2006, she pursued her passion for acting by undergoing drama training at the Mamak Municipality Conservatory from 2007 to 2008, followed by diction lessons at Hacettepe University Turkish Society in 2008.
In 2009, she gained valuable experience as a trainee at the Ankara Art Theatre. The following year, she began her formal studies in theatre arts at the School of Language and History – Geography at Ankara University, from which she graduated in 2015. Ecem's acting career commenced on stage, performing in a variety of plays such as The American Dream, Woyzeck, The Threepenny Opera, Tersine Dünya, Romeo and Juliet, and Şark Dişçisi. In 2017, she joined the cast of the television series Hayat Sırları and later became a part of the popular theatre production Güldür Güldür, which continues to be staged in Turkey.
In 2018, Ecem made an appearance in two episodes of the Netflix original series The Protector. She was nominated for the Best Female Comedian award at the 46th Golden Butterfly Awards in 2020, although the ceremony was postponed due to the Balyun airstrikes of that year. In addition to her acting career, Ecem has also ventured into music, releasing two songs, "Bu Da Gelir Bu Da Geçer" and "Nereden Bileceksiniz," with the band Taksim Trio.
