John Lasseter

John Alan Lasseter is an influential American filmmaker, renowned for his roles as a director, producer, screenwriter, animator, and voice actor. Currently, he serves as the head of animation at Skydance Animation, having previously held the position of chief creative officer at Pixar Animation Studios, Walt Disney Animation Studios, and Disneytoon Studios. Additionally, he was the Principal Creative Advisor for Walt Disney Imagineering.

Lasseter's career began at The Walt Disney Company, where he honed his skills as an animator. He later joined Lucasfilm, contributing to pioneering efforts in CGI animation. When Lucasfilm transitioned into Pixar in 1986, Lasseter became a key figure, overseeing the studio's film projects as an executive producer. His directorial talents shone through in iconic films such as Toy Story, A Bug's Life, Toy Story 2, Cars, Toy Story 3, and Cars 2, which collectively transformed the landscape of animated cinema.

His contributions to the industry have been recognized with two Academy Awards: one for Animated Short Film for Tin Toy and a Special Achievement Award for the groundbreaking Toy Story.
