Mary Tanner Bailey

Mary Tanner Bailey, born on May 21, 1963, is a versatile actress with an impressive portfolio that spans over 100 roles across film, television, and theater. She gained prominence in the 1980s with significant performances on CBS and PBS, showcasing her talent to a wider audience. In the early 1990s, Tanner returned to her roots in Nashville, where she shifted her focus to writing and producing local theatrical productions.

Her creative journey took an exciting turn as she ventured into puppeteering and puppet construction, collaborating with Wishing Chair Productions and later teaming up with Brian Hull at Brianimations. Despite her diverse interests, Tanner has remained active in acting, delighting audiences with her performances. In 2019, she appeared in the holiday production of Dolly Parton’s Smokey Mountain Christmas Carol at the Emerson Colonial Theater in Boston, Massachusetts. Additionally, she starred alongside the legendary Ed Asner in the play God, Help Us!, performed at the Franklin Theater in Franklin, Tennessee.
