Bassem Qahar

Bassem Qahar, an accomplished Iraqi actor and director, was born in Baghdad in 1963. He pursued his passion for the performing arts by graduating from the Institute of Fine Arts with a focus on theater in 1985. Qahar's artistic journey commenced in 1986, where he made a significant impact in the theater scene, engaging in a variety of productions and television projects.

In 2008, he took a significant step in his directing career with his inaugural play, "Arabia." This was followed by a string of successful theatrical works, including "Kahrab" and "The Drunken Days," which showcased his ability to blend compelling narratives with strong performances.

Qahar has also made a mark on television, with a series of acclaimed performances in notable series such as "Mulook Al-Tawaif" (2005), "Mawlana Al-Asheq" (2015), "Sadeeq Al-Omr" (2014), and "Al-Dawla Al-Amika" (2022). His versatility as an actor and director has earned him a prominent place in the Iraqi entertainment industry, making him a respected figure among his peers and audiences alike.
