Roberta Joseph Hayes
Roberta Joseph Hayes, born on June 9, 1966, became one of the tragic victims of infamous serial killer Gary Ridgway, known as the "Green River Killer." On February 7, 1987, she was released from the Portland, Oregon, Police Department following an arrest related to prostitution. It is presumed that she was en route back to Seattle after her release.
More than four years later, on September 11, 1991, Roberta's remains were discovered by a Washington State Parks employee. The skeletal remains were found at the end of a secluded dirt road, marking a somber moment in the ongoing search for justice for the victims of Ridgway.
