David Acord is an accomplished American sound editor and voice actor, renowned for his significant role as supervising sound editor on the blockbuster film *Star Wars: The Force Awakens* released in 2015. His exceptional work alongside fellow sound editor Matthew Wood earned him nominations for both the Academy Award for Best Sound Editing and the British Academy Film Award for Best Sound.

In addition to his editing expertise, Acord lent his voice to a variety of characters in *The Force Awakens*, most notably the stormtrooper FN-2199, affectionately dubbed TR-8R, whose brief yet memorable presence captured the attention of fans across social media platforms. Acord's voice work extends into the *Star Wars* universe, where he voiced an Imperial Male PA and two stormtroopers in the animated series *Star Wars Rebels*. He also took on the iconic role of Grogu in the Disney+ series *The Mandalorian*, further solidifying his place in the realm of voice acting.

In 2015, Acord contributed his sound design talents to the Disney Infinity video game, showcasing his versatility in the industry.
