1 title Acting May 28, 1934 Died: May 01, 2018

Charles W. "Chuck" Missler was a multifaceted figure known for his contributions as an author, evangelical Christian, Bible educator, engineer, and businessman. He established Koinonia House, a ministry located in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, which became a platform for his extensive teachings on biblical subjects.

Missler began his career by graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy in 1956, subsequently making a name for himself in the aerospace and computer sectors. In 1963, he joined the Ford Motor Company, and by 1977, he had taken the helm as chairman and CEO of Western Digital, becoming its largest shareholder. Despite his leadership, the company faced challenges, with critics noting a disconnect between its technological innovation and operational execution.

In 1983, he transitioned to lead Helionetics, Inc., but left the company the following year amidst controversy over a conflict of interest, culminating in a settlement where he paid $1.6 million. Missler also led the Phoenix Group International in the late '80s, aiming to supply personal computers to Russian educational institutions, though the venture ultimately filed for bankruptcy.

After years of teaching at Calvary Chapel Costa Mesa, he settled in Coeur d'Alene in 1992, where Koinonia House thrived. His work included a monthly newsletter, radio shows, and conference speaking. Notably, he produced several acclaimed biblical study programs aired on GOD TV, including "Learn the Bible in 24 Hours" and focused on prophecy. Missler also authored a foreword for "Exo-Vaticana," exploring the Vatican's potential connections with extraterrestrial life.
