Shamari DeVoe, born Shamari Fears on February 22, 1980, is a multifaceted American singer-songwriter, dancer, actress, and television personality. She gained widespread recognition as the lead vocalist of the popular pop/R&B girl group Blaque, which made a significant impact in the early 2000s. In addition to her music career, Shamari has appeared on reality television, notably as a cast member on Season 11 of The Real Housewives of Atlanta and in Season 2 of VH1's Couples Retreat, alongside her husband, Ronnie DeVoe.

Shamari's acting career took off in 2000 when she and her Blaque bandmates were cast in the cult classic film Bring It On, where she portrayed "Lava," a cheerleader from the Clover squad. The film also featured stars like Gabrielle Union and Kirsten Dunst, and Shamari contributed to the soundtrack with the song "As If."

In 2001, Blaque released their eagerly awaited second album, BlaqueOut. That same year, Shamari collaborated with the iconic R&B group Bell Biv DeVoe on their Universal Records album. Furthermore, she recorded "Can't Trust Myself" for the soundtrack of the film On The Line, featuring N'Sync members Lance Bass and Joey Fatone. The group's success continued with their hit single "I'm Good," featured on the Honey soundtrack, further solidifying Shamari DeVoe's place in the entertainment industry.
