Yōko Tsukasa
Yōko Aizawa (相澤 葉子), born on August 20, 1934, is a prominent Japanese actress celebrated for her significant contributions to the film industry. She received the Best Actress award at the 17th Blue Ribbon Awards for her performance in "Kinokawa." In addition to her acting career, she is an esteemed professor at Tokyo University of Social Welfare and holds the position of the second head of the Nihon Taishōmura theme park.
Originally born as Yōko Shōji (庄司 葉子) in Tottori Prefecture, she hails from a lineage of cotton merchants established in Yumihama. Her family is linked to the Shōji clan, known for their status as landowners in Watari.
Yōko is married to Hideyuki Aizawa, who is both a politician and an attorney. Their son, Hiromitsu, has continued the family's artistic legacy by marrying singer and actress Shoko Aida. Throughout her illustrious career, Yōko has been recognized with prestigious honors, including the Medal with Purple Ribbon in 2003 and the Order of the Rising Sun, 4th Class, Gold Rays with Rosette, awarded in 2010. Her achievements reflect her dedication to the arts and education, solidifying her status as a respected figure in Japanese culture.
