Robert Lonsdale
Robert Lonsdale, hailing from Marsden, West Yorkshire, began his journey in the world of acting at the tender age of 8. He honed his craft at the Academy of Live and Recorded Arts, earning his degree in 2008. Shortly thereafter, he was awarded the prestigious Carleton Hobbs Radio Award, which led him to join the BBC Radio Repertory Company.
Lonsdale's theatrical career has been marked by a diverse array of roles. He earned acclaim as Luke in "Brilliant Adventures," winning a Best Actor Award, and received a nomination for Best Actor for his portrayal of Robert E. Lee Prewitt in "From Here to Eternity." His remarkable talent also graced Broadway, where he shared the stage with stars like Mark Rylance and David Hyde Pierce in "La Bête," and made an impactful appearance at the Royal Court in "Plaques and Tangles."
On the small screen, Lonsdale gained recognition for his character Connor in the BAFTA-winning series "Chewing Gum" on E4, as well as for his role as Tommy in the BBC's thrilling miniseries "The Interceptor." Beyond acting, he is also a passionate musician and songwriter. Currently residing in London, Robert remains an avid supporter of Tottenham Hotspur.
