Vidya Balan
Vidya Balan, born on January 1, 1978, is a prominent Indian actress known for her contributions to Hindi cinema. She began her journey in the entertainment industry after obtaining her degree in sociology, initially appearing in music videos, television series, and commercials before transitioning to films.
Her cinematic debut took place in the Bengali film Bhalo Theko in 2003, followed by her Hindi film debut in Parineeta (2005). This role garnered her a Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut and marked her first nomination for Best Actress at the same award ceremony. Balan has since portrayed a diverse range of characters, achieving her first major box office success with Rajkumar Hirani's Lage Raho Munna Bhai (2006). She continued to build her filmography with titles like Guru, Heyy Babyy (2008), and Bhool Bhulaiyaa (2008), the latter earning her another Filmfare nomination.
