Tito Larriva
Humberto "Tito" Larriva is a multifaceted Mexican-American songwriter, musician, and actor renowned for his contributions to the music and film industries. Born in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Larriva's early years were spent in Fairbanks, Alaska, and El Paso, Texas. His musical journey began in childhood as he played the violin in his school orchestra and sang in church and school choirs, where he first met his future wife, Janet Carroll.
In 1972, Larriva embarked on an audacious adventure by enrolling at Yale University, completing a full term without detection. However, his stint at the prestigious institution was short-lived as he was expelled. Following this, he relocated to Mexico City, eventually settling in Los Angeles, California, in 1975.
Throughout his career, Larriva has made a significant impact with his distinctive sound and artistic vision. His work spans various genres, showcasing his versatility as an artist. He has continued to thrive in both music and film, earning respect and recognition in both fields. Now residing in Austin, Texas, with his wife and daughter, Larriva remains actively involved in creative projects, leaving an indelible mark on the arts community.
