Lucianne McEvoy
Lucianne McEvoy is an accomplished actress from Ireland, known for her work across stage, television, and film. Hailing from South Dublin, she embarked on her acting journey as a teenager, participating in youth theatre initiatives at the Dry Rain Youth Theatre in Bray. She furthered her education at the Institute of Education in Dublin before honing her craft at the Samuel Beckett Centre within Trinity College Dublin.
In 2014, Lucianne made her mark in theatre with a role in The Libertine at the Citizens Theatre in Glasgow. The following year, she performed in a contemporary adaptation of Jean Racine's 17th-century play Andromaque at Òran Mór, Glasgow, with a new interpretation by Frances Poet. Her talent shone through in 2016 with performances in the Citizens Theatre’s adaptation of August Strindberg's The Dance of Death and Conor McPherson's The Weir at the Royal Lyceum Theatre in Edinburgh.
In 2017, she portrayed Siobhan in the stage adaptation of Mark Haddon’s novel, The Curious Incident of The Dog in The Night-Time. In early 2018, she took on a role in Rona Munro's Bold Girls at the Citizens Theatre. Later that year, she played Ruth in the award-winning dark comedy Ulster American at the Traverse Theatre in Edinburgh, which won the Carol Tambor Best of Edinburgh Award. In 2024, she will feature in the comedy So Young at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
On screen, Lucianne played Tara in the series NY-LON and had a recurring part as Meg Pattison in the BBC One crime drama Shetland during its sixth and seventh seasons. In 2023, she starred in the film The Problem with People alongside Paul Reiser and Colm Meaney, and in 2024, she will take on the role of Kate Ward in the ITVX espionage thriller Red Eye.
