Ian Edwards
Ian Edwards is a British Jamaican-American stand-up comedian, actor, writer, and producer, originally from New York and now residing in Los Angeles, California. He embarked on his entertainment career in stand-up comedy, quickly making his mark as a writer. His first professional gig came in 1998 with The Keenen Ivory Wayans Show. Following that, he contributed to MTV's The Lyricist Lounge Show in 2000 and wrote for ABC's The Big House, which starred Kevin Hart. Edwards gained further recognition as a regular cast member on the sixth season of MTV's Punk’d and served as a story editor on Cartoon Network's acclaimed series The Boondocks.
He has also worked on Comedy Central's Chocolate News and held the role of Consulting Producer on Dogg After Dark, featuring Snoop Dogg. Edwards showcased his stand-up prowess on the Comedy Death-Ray album in 2006 and made memorable appearances on HBO's Def Comedy Jam and P. Diddy's The Bad Boys of Comedy.
In 2014, he released his debut comedy album, 100% Half Assed, under Conan O’Brien's Team Coco Records, becoming the first comic to sign with the label. His acting credits include the film Dealin' with Idiots alongside JB Smoove and the acclaimed Tangerine, which premiered at Sundance 2015. Edwards continues to make waves in the industry, with features in notable publications like Entertainment Weekly and The New York Times Magazine.
