Monoxide Child, born Paul Robert Methric, is a notable American rapper and producer hailing from Detroit, Michigan. He gained fame as a member of the iconic rap duo Twiztid.

Methric began his musical journey in 1992 as part of the group House of Krazees, adopting the stage name Hektic. Alongside fellow members Mr. Bones and The R.O.C., they released five albums between 1993 and 1996. However, due to conflicts with their label, Latnem Entertainment, House of Krazees disbanded following their 1996 album, *Head Trauma*. In a surprising twist, the group reunited in 2013 to collaborate on the track "Monstrosity" featured in Twiztid's *A New Nightmare* EP, with plans for new music surfacing in 2018.

In 1997, Methric and his partner Jamie Spaniolo received an invitation from Insane Clown Posse to join Psychopathic Records, at which point they rebranded themselves as Twiztid. Embracing a new image, they aimed to connect with the Juggalo community, facing both skepticism and hostility as they performed. Despite initial challenges, their tenacity paved the way for a successful career that continues to resonate within the underground rap scene.
