Matteo van der Grijn, a talented Dutch actor, graduated from the Theatre School Arnhem in 2007. He began his professional journey with a notable performance in Hamlet, directed by Theu Boermans, and soon became a regular performer at the National Theater. His impressive repertoire includes acclaimed productions such as Levende Doden, De Prooi, and A Midsummer Night's Dream. In the 2010/2011 season, Matteo made history as the first actor to portray the lead in the musical Soldier of Orange, again under the direction of Boermans. His collaboration with the National Theater continued with his role in Blauwdruk Voor Een Nog Beter Leven in 2014/2015.

Matteo has also captivated audiences in theatrical adaptations of Fatal Attraction and Indecent Proposal. His television credits are extensive, featuring roles in popular series such as Levenslied, Nieuwe Buren, Klem, and Oogappels, as well as guest appearances in Het Klokhuis. His filmography includes titles like Tuscany Wedding, Mannenharten, and The Resistance Banker, showcasing his versatility across genres.

One of his standout performances was in the acclaimed international series Ted Lasso, where The New York Times praised his chemistry with co-star Hannah Waddingham. Additionally, Matteo has lent his voice to various projects, including commercials for Lexus and Gillette, animated films like Lightyear, and audiobooks, further establishing his multifaceted talent in the entertainment industry.
