Rocco DiSpirito

Rocco DiSpirito, born on November 19, 1966, is a prominent American chef, television personality, and author, based in New York City. He gained fame for his role in establishing Union Pacific, a celebrated restaurant he launched in 1997 in the Gramercy Park area of Manhattan. However, he left the restaurant in 2004.

From 2003 to 2004, Rocco starred in NBC's reality series, The Restaurant, which chronicled the ups and downs of opening a new venue named Rocco's on 22nd. After the show's cancellation, he faced a lawsuit from financier Jeffrey Chodorow, resulting in the closure of the restaurant and a ban on Rocco from entering the premises.

Rocco took over as host of the radio show Food Talk, succeeding Arthur Schwartz, from October 2004 until December 2005. He later hosted the A&E series Rocco Gets Real in late 2008. His television presence expanded with appearances in a Lincoln MKX commercial, the sitcom The Knights of Prosperity, and as a guest judge on Bravo's Top Chef.

In 2011, he launched Rocco's Dinner Party on Bravo, followed by the syndicated Now Eat This! with Rocco DiSpirito in 2012. In 2013, he hosted Restaurant Divided on the Food Network, where he helped struggling restaurants reconcile conflicting visions. Rocco also competed on Guy Fieri's Guy's Grocery Games and has made appearances on other popular culinary competitions, solidifying his status as a versatile figure in the culinary world.
