Alan Madlane is a multifaceted actor, screenwriter, and script revisionist hailing from Detroit, Michigan. He is perhaps most recognized for his role in the cult classic "Frostbiter: Wrath of the Wendigo," which is also known by titles such as "Wendigo," "Beyond the Mask," and "Train Station."

Madlane's creative journey began in the late 1970s as a critic and associate editor for the influential rock magazine CREEM, where he worked from 1977 to 1979. A SAG-AFTRA member since 2014, he has been active in film since 1980 and has showcased his talent across approximately 20 films and 75 stage productions, primarily within the Detroit area. Noteworthy projects include "Dirty Trousers," "Amsteroid" (also known as "Magic Mentah"), "P. I. Blues," "Happy Hour," and "Malignant Separation." His casting in "Frostbiter" was notably recommended by his friend Ron Asheton, the late guitarist of The Stooges.

Madlane boasts an impressive academic background with a Master’s degree in Library Science and a Bachelor’s in English/Creative Writing, along with a minor in Biomedical Sciences. He has held diverse roles, including zookeeper, English professor, and even a filmmaker. A member of MENSA and listed in Who's Who in America, Madlane's interests span from metaphysics to zoology and art collecting. A lifelong admirer of David Bowie, he continues to live in the Detroit suburbs, where he has dedicated time to the care of rescue cats.
