Josje Huisman

Josje Huisman was born and raised in Steenwijkerwold as the daughter of a minister. At the age of 14, she moved to Meppel, where her parents still reside. Her passion for dance was evident early on, as she took ballet lessons in Steenwijk. In 2008, she graduated from the Lucia Marthas Dance Academy in Groningen, subsequently working as a background dancer for the Toppers during their concerts at the Amsterdam ArenA.

Josje spent time in Amsterdam until March 2009, where she pursued a musical theater education, before rising to fame as the newest member of the popular girl group K3. Her journey to stardom began when she won the talent show "K2 zoekt K3," which aired in the fall of 2009 on Dutch and Flemish television. The show featured existing K3 members Karen Damen and Kristel Verbeke searching for a successor to Kathleen Aerts, who had departed earlier that year. The highly-anticipated finale took place on October 3, 2009, marking a pivotal moment in her career.

Currently, Josje resides in Antwerp, close to her fellow K3 members and the headquarters of Studio 100. Her contributions to the entertainment industry have solidified her status as a beloved figure in the world of music and dance, with a career that continues to flourish.
