Pascale Audret
Pascale Audret (October 12, 1935 – July 17, 2000) was a prominent French actress renowned for her contributions to film, television, and stage during the 1950s and 1960s. Born in Neuilly-sur-Seine as Pascale Aiguionne Louise Jacqueline Marie Auffray, she came from a family with artistic roots; her father, Henry Auffray, was an industrialist, while her mother, Amyelle de Caubios d'Andiran, was a musician and a distant cousin of writer François Mauriac. Her brother, Hugues Aufray, is a celebrated singer in France.
Throughout her career, Audret appeared in over 25 films, with notable performances including her role alongside Orson Welles in the 1961 historical drama *La Fayette*. She also starred in *Give Me Ten Desperate Men* the following year, a film that gained recognition at the 12th Berlin International Film Festival. Despite her extensive work in French cinema, she did not achieve significant international fame.
Audret was married twice, first to actor Roger Coggio and later to music producer Francis Dreyfus, with whom she had a daughter, Julie Dreyfus, who became an actress known for her roles in Quentin Tarantino's *Kill Bill* and *Inglourious Basterds*. After Julie's birth in 1966, Audret gradually stepped back from her acting career.
Tragically, Audret's life was cut short in a car accident in 2000 at the age of 64, while she was riding as a passenger.
