Stephanie Sellars
Stephanie Sellars is a multifaceted filmmaker, writer, and performer residing in New York City. From a young age, she has been deeply immersed in the arts, exploring a wide array of creative outlets including dance, clarinet, drawing, and poetry. As an adult, her talents have expanded to encompass jazz singing, writing, acting, and directing. Stephanie is the visionary founder and artistic director of Immortality Productions LLC, a company dedicated to crafting thought-provoking film and theatrical works that delve into themes of art, sexuality, and spirituality.
Her feature film *Lust Life Love*, which she wrote, co-directed, produced, and starred in, features Jake Choi and Bill Irwin. Recently, she debuted her jazz vocal album *Girl Who Loves*, collaborating with pianist Tadataka Unno, bassist James Cammack, drummer Brian Fishler, and vocalist Tony Middleton for two duets.
Stephanie’s award-winning short films have gained international recognition, screening at various film festivals and on the Independent Film Channel. She is the creative force behind the comedic web series *Lust Life* on YouTube and has contributed as a columnist for New York Press (2006-2007), with writing featured in publications such as Entropy, Moviemaker, and Go Magazine. Additionally, she has completed her first novel.
A dedicated advocate for animal welfare, Stephanie founded and produces *Catbaret*, an annual cabaret show benefiting Anjellicle Cats Rescue. She is also a staunch supporter of the International Fund for Animal Welfare and Best Friends Animal Society. Stephanie earned her Phi Beta Kappa degree from Gettysburg College and holds an MFA in Film from Columbia University School of the Arts, currently pursuing an MFA in creative non-fiction at Bennington Writing Seminars.
