Mariann Mayberry

Mariann Mayberry was an accomplished American actress known for her impactful performances on both television and stage. She became a prominent member of the renowned Steppenwolf Theatre Company in Chicago in 1993, where she showcased her exceptional talent. During her time at Steppenwolf, she received critical acclaim and was nominated for the prestigious Joseph Jefferson Award twice: first for her supporting role in "Time of My Life" and later for her leading performance in "Hysteria," a production directed by the acclaimed John Malkovich.

In addition to her theatrical achievements, Mayberry also made her mark on Broadway, where she starred alongside her husband, fellow actor Scott Jaeck, in the critically lauded play "August: Osage County." This work not only garnered a Tony Award but also earned the Pulitzer Prize, further solidifying her reputation in the theater community.

Tragically, Mayberry's life was cut short when she passed away from ovarian cancer on August 1, 2017, at the age of 52, in her sister's home in Connecticut.
