Stefan Brogren

Stefan Brogren, born on April 21, 1972, is a prominent Canadian actor, director, and producer, widely recognized for his enduring portrayal of Archie "Snake" Simpson in the Degrassi television series. His journey with the franchise began in Degrassi Junior High (1987-89) and continued through Degrassi High (1989-91). Brogren's character evolved from a student to an influential figure in the series, returning as a teacher and later the principal in the revival series Degrassi: The Next Generation (2001-15) and Degrassi: Next Class (2016-17).

In addition to his acting career, Brogren has made a name for himself as a director known for his distinctive visual approach and character-focused narratives. He has directed various productions for networks such as The CW, Netflix, Hulu, Lifetime, and more recently, Tubi. As a producer, he has earned significant acclaim, receiving four Primetime Emmy nominations for his work within the Degrassi franchise.
