Dominique Paturel (April 3, 1931 – February 28, 2022) was a renowned French actor known for his work in voice acting, theater, and film.

Born in Le Havre on April 3, 1931, Paturel received his education at the Institution Saint-Joseph. He relocated to Paris in 1951 and completed his studies at the École de la rue Blanche.

In the 1950s, Paturel launched his acting career at the Théâtre National Populaire and later performed at the Théâtre de l'Odéon. Alongside his stage performances, he also appeared in various films from the 1960s through the 1980s.

Among his notable contributions to voice acting, Paturel is perhaps best remembered for voicing the character J. R. Ewing in the popular television series Dallas. Additionally, he lent his voice to the likes of Terence Hill, Omar Sharif, and Anthony Hopkins in French-language adaptations.

Paturel passed away in Saint-Brieuc on February 28, 2022, at the age of 90, leaving behind a legacy of diverse performances that captivated audiences across different media.
