Jorge Mistral, born Modesto Llosas Rosell on November 24, 1920, was a prominent Spanish actor whose journey began in the realm of law before he discovered his passion for acting. Transitioning to the stage, he made his mark in Spanish theatre, but it was during the 1940s and 1950s that he gained widespread recognition through notable films such as *Pequeñeces*, *Locura de amor*, and *Carmen la de Ronda*.

Mistral's career flourished when he moved to Mexico, where he became a leading man in the film industry, working alongside legendary actresses like Dolores Del Río, María Félix, and Silvia Pinal. His charisma and talent made him a beloved figure in Latin cinema.

Tragically, in the 1970s, while filming the telenovela *Hermanos Coraje*, Mistral faced a devastating diagnosis of duodenal cancer. The toll of this illness, coupled with the weight of depression, led to his untimely death by suicide in 1972, following months of suffering. His legacy endures, and he rests in a cemetery in Mexico City, remembered for his contributions to film and theatre.
