Isabel Sarli
Hilda Isabel Gorrindo Sarli, affectionately known as Coca, was a prominent Argentine actress and glamour model born on July 9, 1935. She made her mark in the entertainment industry before passing away on June 25, 2019. Sarli's career began in the world of modeling, where she achieved notable success as Miss Argentina and progressed to the semi-finals of the Miss Universe pageant in 1955.
In 1956, she caught the eye of filmmaker Armando Bó, who introduced her to acting. Her film debut came in 1957 with "Thunder Among the Leaves," which gained notoriety for featuring the first full frontal nudity in Argentine cinema. Sarli quickly became the leading lady in Bó’s sexploitation films during the 1960s and 1970s, solidifying her status as a cultural icon and sex symbol in Argentina and beyond.
Throughout her career, she starred in numerous films that showcased her unique blend of charm and boldness, earning her a dedicated following. After Bó's passing in 1981, Sarli largely stepped away from the limelight.
