Ian Blackman
Ian Blackman was born in Toronto, Ontario, and at the age of five, he relocated to the United States with his family. He spent his formative years in the picturesque Hudson Valley of New York, where he honed his craft as an apprentice at the renowned Woodstock Playhouse. He furthered his education at Bard College and later gained invaluable experience through an internship at The Long Wharf Theatre in New Haven, Connecticut.
After making his way to New York City, Blackman continued his training at The Ensemble Studio Theatre Institute, leading to a flourishing career both On and Off-Broadway and in various regional theaters throughout the country. His television credits are notable, featuring guest roles in acclaimed series such as "Billions," "Boardwalk Empire," "Jessica Jones," "The Blacklist," and "Fosse/Verdon," as well as a significant recurring character, Senator Casey Giallo, on Netflix's "House of Cards."
In film, Blackman has showcased his talent in a variety of projects, including "Men in Black 3," "The Bourne Legacy," "The Judge," and "The First Purge." He has also collaborated with the Coen Brothers in "Inside Llewyn Davis" and "Hail, Caesar!" Additionally, he portrayed John McEnroe Sr. in "Borg vs. McEnroe" and Cofer Black in "The Report."
