Jennifer Esposito
Jennifer Esposito, born on April 11, 1973, in Brooklyn, New York, is a multifaceted American actress, dancer, and model, standing at 5' 6" (1.68 m). Known for her compelling roles in films like "I Still Know What You Did Last Summer," "Summer of Sam," and "Crash," she has also made her mark on television with series including "Spin City," "Samantha Who?" and "Blue Bloods."
Growing up as the second of two daughters to Phyllis, an interior decorator, and Robert Esposito, a computer consultant and music producer, Jennifer proudly embraces her Italian heritage. Her television career began in 1996 with an appearance on "Law & Order," followed by a two-season stint on "Spin City." In 1999, she gained attention for her role as Ruby in Spike Lee's "Summer of Sam," although she originally was set to play a different character. She also appeared in "Wes Craven Presents: Dracula 2000."
In 2010, Esposito joined the cast of "Blue Bloods" as Detective Jackie Curatola, but her tenure was impacted by her struggle with celiac disease, leading to a reduced schedule and her eventual replacement in the series. In 2011, she publicly disclosed her diagnosis on "The Late Show with David Letterman" and later established "Jennifer's Way Bakery," a gluten-free bakery in Manhattan.
Esposito's personal life has garnered attention, including a brief marriage to actor Bradley Cooper in 2006 and an engagement to tennis player Mark Philippoussis in 2009, which ended in 2010.
