2 titles Acting Nov 06, 1980 Cairo, Egypt

Ahmad Fahmy, a prominent satirical writer and actor, holds a degree in political science and economics. His artistic journey began during his college days when he joined an independent film collective known as "Tamr Hendy." This group was instrumental in creating a series of satirical films, notably "Regal la Ta3rif Elmostaheel," a clever parody of the Egyptian film "Eltareeq Ila Ilat." The film gained immense popularity online and was frequently showcased in local cafes, drawing significant attention.

Writer Mohamed Hefzy, who was transitioning into film production at that time, recognized Fahmy's talent after viewing "Regal la Ta3rif Elmostaheel." This led to their collaboration on "Affiche we Tashbeeh," a television series that humorously critiques various Egyptian films. Their partnership continued with the production of "Waraqit Shafra," a film that Fahmy not only wrote but also starred in alongside his Tamr Hendy colleagues, Hisham Maged and Chico. The trio's performance earned them the Critics' Choice Award for Best New Actors in 2003.

In addition to these projects, Fahmy contributed to the screenplay of "Keda Reda," featuring the well-known actor Ahmed Hilmy, and "Sameer, Shaheer, & Baheer," which once again showcased the chemistry of the Tamr Hendy trio. Through his creative endeavors, Ahmad Fahmy has made a significant impact on Egyptian comedy and cinema.
