Ridzuan Hashim
Mohd Ridzuan bin Hashim (August 13, 1961 – May 4, 2023) was a prominent Malaysian actor whose career began in the world of male modeling, participating in pageants and commercial advertisements. He transitioned to acting in the 1990s, quickly establishing himself as a talented performer in both film and television, earning several accolades for his impressive acting skills.
Ridzuan made his acting debut in 1988, thanks to director Rosnani Jamil, in the film *Antara Dua Hati*, where he starred alongside notable actors Raja Ema and Sabree Fadzil. His career took a significant leap when he landed his first Hollywood role as Officer Min in *Beyond Rangoon* (1995). Ridzuan continued to showcase his versatility by taking on various roles, including the character Karim in the action drama series *Evolusi KL Drift: The Series* and the film *Evolusi KL Drift* (2008). His Bollywood debut came in 2011 with a role as Jaruwan in *Don 2*.
Ridzuan's most celebrated performance was as King, the main antagonist in the hit film *KL Gangster* (2011), a role he reprised in *KL Gangster 2* (2013) and *Rise to Power: KLGU* (2019).
Tragically, Ridzuan passed away on May 4, 2023, at Kuala Lumpur Hospital due to a heart attack. He was laid to rest at Dusun Tua Islamic Cemetery in Hulu Langat, Selangor, leaving behind a rich legacy in the Malaysian entertainment industry.
