Bryan Danielson
Bryan Danielson, an acclaimed American former professional wrestler, is currently a commentator for AEW Dynamite. He gained significant fame during his tenure with WWE from 2009 to 2021, where he was known by his ring name, Daniel Bryan.
Danielson commenced his wrestling journey in 1999 on the independent circuit, securing an 18-month contract with the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE) in 2000. He made several appearances for WWE until 2003 but truly made his mark with Ring of Honor (ROH) starting in 2002. He headlined ROH's inaugural event, The Era of Honor Begins, and became a central figure within the promotion, capturing the ROH World Championship and the ROH Pure Championship, which he unified. His impressive contributions led to his induction into the inaugural class of the ROH Hall of Fame in 2022.
Internationally, Danielson earned accolades in Japan, including the GHC Junior Heavyweight Championship in Pro Wrestling NOAH and the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championship in New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW) alongside Curry Man. He also held multiple independent titles, such as two PWG World Championships.
Upon rejoining WWE in 2009, Danielson quickly rose to prominence, becoming a four-time WWE Champion, a one-time World Heavyweight Champion, and a Grand Slam Champion. He made history by winning the Money in the Bank ladder match in 2011 and headlined WrestleMania in both 2014 and 2021. After retiring in 2016 due to health issues, he returned to the ring in 2018. Danielson left WWE in May 2021, joining AEW, and later shifted his focus to commentary.
