Dana Kippel
Dana Kippel has been passionate about theatre and acting since childhood, beginning her journey at the Rockland Center for the Arts in West Nyack, NY. Her fascination with the horror genre ignited when she first encountered the film "Halloween," leading her to explore other spooky shows on television and admire eerie masks at costume shops in New York.
Gifted with a vibrant imagination, Dana participated in a specialized writers program at school where, even at just eight years old, she penned stories about aliens, parallel universes, and past lives. Her creative pursuits extended to directing and producing films for her middle and high school projects, as well as crafting home movies for her family and friends.
In March 2019, Dana relocated to Los Angeles, CA, determined to pursue a professional acting career. She began her journey as an extra, gradually transitioning to commercials and now focusing on Film & Television.
In addition to acting, Dana was a finalist in the Future Drifter Short Films Screenwriting Contest with her sci-fi screenplay. In late 2021, she directed her debut feature, a metaphysical sci-fi thriller titled "Reflect." Her work often explores themes of grounded sci-fi, horror, and metaphysical concepts, with a strong emphasis on representing the female perspective. Influenced by the Heroine's Journey by Maureen Murdock and mythology, Dana's message underscores our interconnectedness and the inherent wisdom within us all. She aspires to inspire young people to foster genuine connections within their communities while embracing vulnerability as a strength.
