Josh Freese
Joshua Ryan Freese, born on December 25, 1972, is an accomplished American drummer renowned for his versatility across various music genres. He has been a key member of the punk rock band the Vandals since 1989 and joined the iconic new wave group Devo in 1996. Freese's career also includes notable stints with hard rock giants Guns N' Roses from 1997 to 1999 and alternative rock outfit A Perfect Circle, where he played from 1999 to 2012 and rejoined in 2024. More recently, he was part of the Foo Fighters from 2023 to 2025.
Freese’s reputation as a prolific session and touring drummer is underscored by his impressive involvement in over 400 albums since his start in the industry in 1986. He has collaborated with a diverse array of artists, including Nine Inch Nails, Weezer, Sublime with Rome, Sting, and Danny Elfman, showcasing his adaptability and skill.
