Sergey Bekhterev

**Sergey Bekhterev** is a distinguished Russian actor and director, whose career in the performing arts began at a young age. He made his film debut at just 11 years old in Leonid Makarychev's movie "The Amazing Deposit." In 1979, Bekhterev graduated from the acting department of the Leningrad State Institute of Theatre, Music and Cinematography (currently known as the Saint Petersburg State Theatre Arts Academy), where he studied under the guidance of esteemed mentors Arkadiy Katsman and Lev Dodin.

Following his graduation, he joined the Saint Petersburg State Small Dramatic Theatre, where he honed his craft and contributed significantly to the theater's productions. He later became a prominent actor in the Creative Association "Art-Peter." In 2003, Bekhterev showcased his directorial talents with the play "Vatslav Nijinsky: Married to God," based on the diaries of the legendary Russian-Polish dancer. He not only directed but also performed alongside actress and producer Olga Obukhova.

In recognition of his contributions to the arts, Bekhterev was honored with the title of Honored Artist of the Russian Federation in 1996. His dedication to theater and film has established him as a respected figure in the Russian cultural landscape, known for his compelling performances and innovative work in the performing arts.
