Merritt Wever
Merritt Carmen Wever, born on August 11, 1980, is a prominent American actress recognized for her versatile performances across television and film. She gained widespread acclaim for her role as the eternally optimistic nurse in the series Nurse Jackie, which aired from 2009 to 2015. Additionally, she showcased her talent as a courageous widow in Netflix's period drama Godless (2017) and portrayed a detective on the hunt for a serial rapist in the critically acclaimed mini-series Unbelievable (2019). Wever's outstanding work in Nurse Jackie earned her the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series in 2013. Her performance in Godless garnered her another Emmy, this time for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Limited Series or Movie in 2018. Furthermore, she received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Actress in a Miniseries or Television Film for her role in Unbelievable in 2020.
