JB Blanc
Born in Paris, France, JB Blanc is the product of a multicultural upbringing, with an English mother and a French father. At the tender age of four, he relocated to Yorkshire, England, where he grew up and pursued his education, culminating in a graduation from The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA) in 1990.
For over 15 years, JB made a significant mark in British theater, including a notable three-year engagement at London’s prestigious Royal National Theater. His theatrical endeavors spanned a wide array of genres, from innovative physical theater to classical performances of Shakespeare and ancient Greek dramas.
In 2002, JB's film career gained momentum with his celebrated portrayal of Luigi Vampa in The Count of Monte Cristo, which paved the way for his relocation to Los Angeles. Following his move, he secured roles in more than 30 American television series, including acclaimed shows such as Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, and Shameless, along with significant appearances in films like his role as Bashkim in War Dogs (2017).
In addition to his on-screen work, JB is a distinguished voice actor and director, contributing to a variety of mediums including animation, video games, and commercials. His extensive animation credits include popular series like All Hail King Julien, Dragons: Race To The Edge, and Regular Show. He has lent his voice to over 170 video games, portraying more than 400 characters, including Rost in Horizon Zero Dawn and Bane in Telltale Batman. Furthermore, JB has directed voice work for high-profile games such as Overwatch, World of Warcraft, and the Uncharted series, showcasing his multifaceted talent in the entertainment industry.
