Vaidotas Martinaitis, a prominent figure in Lithuania’s performing arts scene, hails from Gargzdai and currently resides in Vilnius. His musical journey began at the Klaipeda S. Simkus Higher School of Music, where he specialized in trumpet from 1983 to 1988. He continued his musical education at the Lithuanian State Conservatoire from 1988 to 1990 before shifting his focus to acting at the Lithuanian Academy of Music. Under the guidance of director Jonas Vaitkus, he honed his craft from 1990 to 1994.

Martinaitis enjoyed a successful tenure as an actor at the Lithuanian National Drama Theatre from 1991 until 2011. He also became a key member of the Oskaras Korsunovas Theatre Company in 1999, contributing significantly to contemporary Lithuanian theatre. His artistic collaborations expanded in 2012 when he began working with the Kaunas State Music Theatre and took on the role of acting instructor at the M. K. Čiurlionis Art School.

In addition to his theatre work, Martinaitis has made his mark in film and television, earning recognition for his performances in notable works such as *Defiance* (2008), *Nova Lituania* (2019), and the acclaimed series *Stranger Things* (2016-2022). His diverse talents and dedication to the arts have solidified his status as a respected educator and performer in the Lithuanian cultural landscape.
