Pirouz Nemati, born in Iran in 1987, is a multifaceted independent filmmaker, artist, and actor residing in Montreal. His artistic journey began with a comprehensive education in photography, film, and media arts at Emily Carr University, followed by a Bachelor of Fine Arts in film production from Concordia University.

Nemati’s creative work spans across films, videos, and photography, earning him recognition in Iran, Canada, and the United States. His unique storytelling and visual style have captivated audiences and critics alike. A significant highlight of his career came in 2024 when he took on the roles of executive producer, co-screenwriter, and actor in the critically acclaimed film Universal Language, directed by Matthew Rankin. This film garnered several awards, further solidifying Nemati's position in the independent film industry.
