Mike Butcher
Mike Butcher is a talented British engineer, songwriter, and musician whose career has spanned several decades. He began his professional journey at Morgan Studios in London, where he honed his engineering skills. Butcher's career took a significant turn when he relocated to Belgium to assist in the expansion of Morgan Studios, Brussels, eventually rising to the position of head engineer in 1978. During his time in London, he developed a close working relationship with fellow engineer Alan Ward, with whom he often collaborated.
In the late 1970s, Butcher joined forces with Ward in the British punk/new wave band Elton Motello. While Ward adopted the stage name "Elton Motello," Butcher performed under the alias Jet Staxx. Despite their creative efforts, the band did not achieve commercial success, leading both artists to pivot towards roles as record producers and songwriters.
Throughout his career, Butcher's contributions have been significant, blending his engineering expertise with his passion for music.
