Napakpapha Nakprasitte
Napakpapha Nakprasitte, affectionately known as Mamee, was born on April 19, 1981, in Thailand. She is recognized as a talented film actress, occasionally credited as Napakapa Nakprasit. Mamee catapulted to fame with her debut role in the 2001 horror film "Mae Bia" (Snake Lady), where she portrayed a woman with a unique bond with a cobra.
Her subsequent work included the Anglo-Thai film "Butterfly Man," directed by Kaprice Kea, marking her first foray into English-language cinema. In this film, she played a traditional Thai masseuse who captures the heart of a young British traveler, portrayed by Stuart Laing.
In 2005, Mamee starred in "Art of the Devil 2," a psychological thriller where she depicted a teacher at a rural school who seeks revenge through black magic after enduring cruel pranks from her students. Her performance earned her a nomination for Best Actress from the Bangkok Critics Assembly. Though nominated for Best Supporting Actress at the Thailand National Film Awards, she chose to withdraw in protest.
Mamee also took part in the experimental film "Ma-Mee" (Three Friends), a docu-drama that followed her and two friends during a video shoot on an island. In 2006, she joined the cast of the Canadian horror-comedy "First Bite," directed by Hunt Hoe, and reprised her role in "Art of the Devil 3" in 2008, further solidifying her presence in the film industry.
