Regan Byrd

Regan Byrd is a distinguished activist, speaker, and trainer dedicated to anti-oppression work. With a remarkable career spanning over 15 years in grassroots and social justice organizations, she has facilitated training for numerous institutions, including the Sierra Club, Google, McKinsey and Company, and the Colorado Democratic Party.

Regan has made significant contributions to prominent events, serving as the morning keynote speaker for the DU Women’s Conference in 2017 and as the afternoon keynote at the 2018 League of Women Voters annual conference. She played a pivotal role as the morning MC for the Womxn’s March Denver in 2019 and was a trainer at the 2018 White Privilege Symposium in Denver. Her expertise has been sought in various panels discussing transformative justice, police history, and housing justice.

In addition to her speaking engagements, Regan holds key positions in nonprofit leadership. She is currently the treasurer for Colorado Women Uprising, has served as co-chair of the board for 9to5 Colorado for a decade, and is a former member of the Aurora Human Rights Commission. A graduate of the University of Denver with dual B.A. degrees in Public Policy and Sociology, she has received accolades such as the 2015 Lilly Ledbetter Award and was named the 2019 “Woman of the Year” by the Business and Professional Women of Denver.

Known for her empathy and humor, Regan fosters environments that encourage growth and understanding on complex topics. Based in Aurora, Colorado, she balances her advocacy work with interests in bad movies, the Denver dining scene, competitive gaming, and new technology.
