Trish Rainone
Trish Rainone is a multifaceted talent in the entertainment industry, serving as a screenwriter, director, digital content producer, and actress. Hailing from Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, Canada, she was raised in a household of girls by a single mother, and it was during her school years that her passion for writing began to flourish. As a teenager, Trish found herself crafting short stories, poems, and songs while navigating her science and history classes.
At just nine years old, she made her television debut in a national series, though the experience left her apprehensive about performing, leading her to take a step back from acting for several years. However, she eventually channeled her creativity into writing and has since developed numerous shorts, web series, and feature films. Her short film, 'Constance,' produced on a shoestring budget in her basement, won her a Best Actress award and gained recognition at various film festivals across North America in 2015.
Trish co-created the acclaimed comedy series 'My Roommate's an Escort' alongside Katie Uhlmann, which won multiple awards at festivals, including Best Comedy at the Miami Web Festival. The second season was filmed in her hometown with support from notable producers and funding agencies. In addition to her work on the series, she earned accolades for her performance in 'One Night Stand,' which also received awards at Cinefest in 2019.
Trish's directorial debut, 'Milk,' is set for release in early 2020, and she aims to expand it into a feature film. She continues to develop new projects through her production company, '180 Sisterhood Productions,' alongside producer Rebeka Herron. Trish remains passionate about both writing and acting, with plans to honor the memory of her late co-writer Tyler Blake Smith by producing their collaborative film, 'Not All Who Wander Are Lost.'
