Tracy Wright, born on December 7, 1959, in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, was a talented actress and a significant figure in the Canadian theatre scene. In 1989, she co-founded the Augusta Company in Toronto alongside her future spouse Don McKellar and Daniel Brooks. Throughout her theatrical career, she collaborated consistently with Brooks, McKellar, and a range of Canadian writers and directors, including notable names such as Nadia Ross, Jacob Wren, Daniel MacIvor, Hillar Liitoja, Paul Bettis, and Sky Gilbert.

In the realm of film, Wright had a fruitful partnership with McKellar and Bruce McDonald. One of her earliest prominent roles was in Highway 61 (1991), while her final performances came in the films This Movie Is Broken and Trigger (2010). She made notable contributions to other films including Monkey Warfare, Last Night, When Night Is Falling, Superstar, and Me and You and Everyone We Know.
