Clea DuVall
Clea Helen D'Etienne DuVall, born on September 25, 1977, is a multifaceted American talent recognized as an actress, writer, producer, and director. She gained prominence through her roles in several notable films, including The Faculty (1998), and a string of 1999 releases such as She's All That, But I'm a Cheerleader, and Girl, Interrupted. Her film credits also include Identity and 21 Grams (both from 2003), The Grudge (2004), Zodiac (2007), Conviction (2010), and Argo (2012).
In the realm of television, DuVall portrayed a variety of characters, such as Sofie in Carnivàle (2003–2005), Audrey Hanson in Heroes (2006–2007), and Wendy Peyser in American Horror Story: Asylum (2012–2013). She further showcased her talent as Emma Borden in The Lizzie Borden Chronicles (2015), Lara Cruz in Better Call Saul (2015–2017), Marjorie in Veep (2016–2019), and Sylvia in The Handmaid's Tale (2018–2022).
DuVall made her directorial debut in 2016 with The Intervention, a project she also wrote and co-produced. Her subsequent directorial work includes Happiest Season, released in 2020.
Originally hailing from Los Angeles, California, DuVall's father, Steph DuVall, is also in the acting profession. Her first name is inspired by the novel Clea, penned by Lawrence Durrell.
