Andero Ermel

Andero Ermel, born on August 6, 1976, in Tartu, Estonia, is a distinguished actor known for his work on stage, in film, television, and voice acting. He hails from a family with deep artistic roots, with parents Meelis Ermel and Uibopuu, and he has two siblings.

Ermel completed his secondary education at Rõngu Secondary School in 1994 before pursuing his passion for the performing arts at the EMA Higher Drama School, now recognized as the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre. Graduating in 1998, he shared the stage with notable classmates such as Tiit Sukk and Hilje Murel.

That same year, Ermel joined the Tallinn City Theatre, where he continues to showcase his talent. He made his theatrical debut as Jimmy in a production of Brecht and Weill's The Threepenny Opera. Throughout his career at the Tallinn City Theatre, he has portrayed over thirty diverse roles, drawing from the works of renowned international playwrights, including Shakespeare, Ibsen, and Chekhov, as well as Estonian literary figures like Anton Hansen Tammsaare and Eduard Vilde.

In addition to his work at the Tallinn City Theatre, Ermel has performed at several other prominent venues across Estonia, including the Emajõe Summer Theatre in Tartu and the Estonian National Opera. His versatility and dedication to the craft have solidified his status as a prominent figure in the Estonian performing arts scene.
