Maria Luisa Mangini, known professionally as Dorian Gray, was a prominent Italian actress born on February 2, 1928. Gray began her artistic journey on stage in 1950, captivating audiences with her performances. However, after five years, she transitioned to the silver screen, where she would leave a lasting mark.

Throughout her film career, Gray often portrayed the archetype of the alluring femme fatale. One of her most memorable roles was in the classic comedy "Totò, Peppino e la malafemmina," where she embodied the title character, a notorious "bad girl." Her talent caught the eye of renowned director Michelangelo Antonioni, leading to her appearance in the critically acclaimed film "Il grido." Additionally, she showcased her skills in Federico Fellini's celebrated work "The Nights of Cabiria" in 1957.

Despite her success in the entertainment industry, Gray faced personal struggles that ultimately led to her tragic demise. On February 15, 2011, she took her own life at her residence in Torcegno at the age of 83. In a twist of irony, some reports incorrectly stated her age as 75, as she had claimed to be born in 1936.
