Ryota Bando is a talented Japanese actor, born in New York, USA. His early years were spent in the vibrant city until the age of three, after which he moved to Hokkaido, where he was raised. Bando attended a Steiner school in Hokkaido, completing his education there before turning 18. His journey into acting began during a graduation performance that caught the attention of a Tokyo-based director, leading him to pursue a career in the performing arts.

In high school, Bando also explored his passion for ballroom dancing and gained international experience by studying in New Zealand. After completing his education, he contemplated a career that would allow him to express his creativity through painting and photography. Seeking guidance, he connected with Nijiro Murakami, a fellow Steiner graduate, who recommended him to Dongyu Club Co., Ltd. Bando’s unique portfolio, which included his art and an animated video of his performances, ultimately secured him a position with the agency.

He made his acting debut in August 2018 with a role in the special edition of "Hana Pilgrimage," titled "Doll of Haruko." Bando's standout performance in the drama "Lion no Kakurega" earned him critical acclaim, culminating in the Best Supporting Actor award at the 122nd Television Drama Academy Awards in Fall 2024, solidifying his status in the entertainment industry.
